Job postings reflect a summary of the position, the qualifications and credentials required, and a copy of the job description. If you’re interested in applying for a job on our Employment Opportunities page, apply by using our applicant tracking system.

Selected Candidates will be contacted and invited to take part in an interview. Based upon the nature and scope of the position, testing components may comprise part of the recruitment process. Testing may include, written assignment, skills testing, technical knowledge assessment, equipment/vehicle operations, etc. In some instances, a second interview may be conducted.

Screening may include (but is not limited) the following based on the needs of the position(s) being filled:

  • education and certification verification
  • police record check (including vulnerable sector)
  • employment and/or character references
  • skills testing
  • drivers abstract
  • physical fitness tests
  • medicals

Following background screening, the successful candidate will receive an offer of employment outlining the agreement between the Town and the candidate.

Employees will participate in a comprehensive and interactive onboarding program to integrate them into the organization, their team and role.

Personal information that is collected as part of the application process is secured via our applicant tracking system and is only reviewed by members of our People & Talent Team, and the Hiring Panel. Personal information will be used to determine eligibility for potential employment and is pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

You will receive an email from the online application system confirming receipt of your application. If you do not receive this confirmation, please call 705-436-3710 and ask to speak to the People & Talent Department. Please have the title of the position for which you have applied for so that we can assist.

You can make a change to your application by logging back into the applicant tracking system with your e-mail address and password. Once logged in, you will be able to update your information within the Resume Profile, Cover Letters and Attachments sections. If you are uploading an updated resume, please indicate in the title of the resumes that it has been updated or include a date so it is clear to which version is the most recent.
